About the Founder
Ipek Çetinkaya is a fashion design graduate whose creative journey began with a strong focus on material-driven design during her university years, where she explored texture through experimental techniques. This early interest in materiality continues to define her design language today.
She began her professional career in the leather industry, where she developed a deep connection with the material and its evolving character. This experience naturally led her to design bags and accessories that balance functionality with refined aesthetics.
A key milestone in her journey was winning first place in Turkey’s 1st Detay Leather Products Design Competition in the saddlery category, followed by recognition in the Travel Accessories category at the A’ Design Award in Italy—both of which shaped her decision to found Moonilin.
Today, Moonilin reflects her design philosophy: material integrity, timeless form, and quiet functionality, brought together through refined craftsmanship.
